The technique to make the animal blocks is fusible applique. The block size is 12 1/2″ x 12 1/2″.
This is a romantic quilt, with a collection of applique flowers surrounded by floral borders, a flying geese border and a wide striped border with sweet little applique lollipop flowers and simple stitching. The applique is done using fusible web and ironed in place before stitching around the shapes with matching thread.
